This was a big first in the kitchen for me – my first loaf of sourdough bread! (Shortly followed by my second loaf of sourdough bread). This was a respectable first attempt. While I definitely need to finesse my hand kneading technique and have a lot to learn about the whole process the results were pretty good. I used April Danaan’s recipe that she gave me at the workshop a couple weeks ago. I used a mixture of white, rye and wholemeal flours. Looking forward to the next time when hopefully I can achieve a lighter dough.
